These two teams split the first two games - both winning in convincing fashion. Tim Wakefield is about to face the New York Yankees for the 41st time. Can you imagine facing a lineup that throughout the decades has remained one of the best in the Majors, a total of 41 times? In his first outing against the Yanks earlier this season the Red Sox won 7-3 in Boston on May 1st. Now, the Red Sox call up on the Knuckleballer to step up and stop the Yanks in their tracks again at home. Chacon has pitched very well of late but when facing the Red Sox last year he gave up 5 earned runs in 6 innings. I expect both teams to play well as Boston has won their last 7 out of 9 and New York their last 8 out of 10. However, what Boston has going today is experience and wiley experience at that. In a game that can go either way, it's worth a close look at the dog. When that dog has Tim Wakefield on the mound, we'll back 'em.
