The Red Sox have certainly owned the Angels in the postseason, and I'm sure they are in their heads. You know how much confidence the Sox must have in Lester, to push Beckett to game two, despite his postseason mastery. The fact is that Lester is a better pitcher right now and the Angels have to go with Lackey who has simply not had a great season off of injuries. All you have to do is to look at the fact that the Red Sox are 40-17 in Lester's last 57 starts, which includes 24-9 against a team with a winning record. The Angels have hit the skids come money time as they are a horrific 1-10 in their last 11 postseason games, inmcljuding 0-6 at home. Overall, the Angels are just 2-7 in Lackey's last nine home starts against a team with a winning record. We have a very undervalued Red Sox team here behind Lester, so Boston gets the call.
