The win keeps the Angels in first place in the American League West, while the last-place Red Sox dropped six games below .500. Boston is 3,000 miles from home and turns to Rick Porcello (5-9, 5.90 ERA), a high priced bust. The Red Sox are 2-7 in Porcello's last nine starts, and he's 1-5 on the road with a 7.16 ERA. Porcello's run of terrible starts began against Los Angeles on May 22 when he was rocked for seven runs on as many hits and three walks in 4+ innings. Los Angeles is on a 12-3 run, and the Angels are 22-8 as a home favorite.
