Boston has won three of five with the offense finally hitting. Lefty Wade Miley bounced back in a big way from a rough start on June 11 that had him yelling back and forth with manager John Farrell. He struck out eight while surrendering two runs on five hits and a pair of walks in 6 1/3 innings to earn a win over Atlanta on Tuesday. The Red Sox are 5-2 in Miley's last seven starts, and the Royals are 0-5 against a left-handed starter. Kansas City goes with aging Chris Young, who last faced Boston as a member of the Seattle Mariners last August and lasted only 3 2/3 innings while yielding three runs on seven hits and five walks.
