Boston at Detroit

Detroit was blown out yesterday, but it has one of its better pitchers on the mound today with Matthew Boyd, who allowed two runs on two hits in 4 1/3 innings against Houston on Monday. Boyd was a relief pitcher for Seattle in 2022 and finished 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA in 13 1/3 innings and before that he pitched for the Tigers for seven years mostly as a starter. Kutter Crawford starts for Boston and he was roughed up for seven runs on eight hits, including three homers, in only four innings against Pittsburgh on Monday. The UNDER is 17-8-4 in Detroit's past 29 home games and for some reason the Tigers are 36-15-1 UNDER on Sundays. In addition, Detroit is 41-17-5 UNDER its past 63 games versus AL East opponents.
