Nearly everyone will be riding Boston and Beckett in this game but I like Cleveland. Beckett cannot continue the run he is on forever. After all, in just the last start Beckett got rocked for 5 runs by the Blue Jays in a game that Boston won, but clearly showed the American Leauge is catching up to Beckett and his tendencies. He faces a very solid Cleveland team that with their young group of players can simply play against anyone - anyday. The Indians are crushing the ball averaging 6.6 runs per game at home, 6.7 vs. right handed batters and 6.9 in their eleven day games so far. They send Paul Byrd to the mound who looks to rebound from his previous start. Byrd has had solid success against the Red Sox giving up just 4 runs in nearly 15 innings of work when he was with the Angels including a 7 inning shutout gem he threw in his last game in which the Angels won 3-0. This is a good spot for Byrd to get back on track with his new team as he is simply too talented to have the current numbers as high as they are and I firmly beleive that Cleveland will pick up a few things from Toronto's success against Beckett and will use that to their advantage. The Red Sox are now 1-4 in their last 5 road games against a team with a winning record and the Indians are 3-0 in their last three home games v. a team with a winning record. Let's take the home dog today with the Indians.
