Boston at Cleveland

In our second dog selection today we look to the Red Sox with Tim Wakefield on the mound. Wakefield has pitched well (1.57 ERA over his last three starts)) but he just hasn't had any run support to date. That can't continue forever as the Sox are putting up lots of runs when other pitchers are on the mound. It's just a matter of time until they help out Mr. Wakefield. Boston has won six of the last eight games played here in Cleveland so don't let their "road" status scare you. In April games, teams scoring between 4.7 and 5.2 runs/game now facing a good starter (ERA under 4.2) are 46-20 (70%) over the last 5 seasons. We won't get the Sox as a dog much this year so pouncing on this one.
