The Red Sox have been cruising at home, but sure have had trouble on the road of late. They have been swept already this season in Tampa and Toronto, and just lost three of four in Minnesota as well as the opener here in Baltimore. The bats have come around, but the pitching has gone south, from starters to closer. While they went 11 straight games allowing five runs or less, they have now allowed five or more in five of the last seven. After losing seven of eight, Baltimore has now caught fire and the O's have taken four of their last five. Jon Lester has pitched better lately, but his biggest problem is staying in the strike zone. Lester has 101 career walks in just 195 innings. Daniel Cabrera is finally maturing as a pitcher, and has pitched to an ERA in the 3's thus far, and has allowed 13 less hits than innings pitched, so his plus stuff is finally equating to results. We'll grab the Birds to take the Tuesday matinee over the Sox.
