Boston at Baltimore

Not very often you get to play these two teams for an over of single digits. But we are given that today for several reasons, one of them being is that it is early in the season and the oddsmakers are feeling their way through the pitchers and lineups of teams, as much as we are. Matt Clement goes on the mound today for Boston while Daniel Cabrera, a pitcher that has come around considerably, is going for Baltimore. Many are ready to laud Clement, yet fail to realize that he had near a 5.00era in the American League and his second time around the American League this year, I beleive he is going to get shelled a bit more. After all, Baltimore is healthy this year with the likes of Mora and Tejada still there and ready to swing and put up runs. Baltimore is off to a quick start putting up an average of more than 8 runs in 3 games while Baltimore is no slack putting up over 4 runs a game - yet, have the potential to shell any pitcher at any given time with a well-balanced lineup. Thus, Baltimore's firepower, coming off a loss as they got shutout by the Hendrickson's pitching after putting up 25 runs in the first 2 games, given Boston only putting up 2 runs yesterday - albeit a win, I like Baltimore to win, but more importantly believe the over is quite possible in a 7-5 type of ball game that's in the lower double digits. Thus, the over as the hitting and the pitching favor it.
