Boston at Atlanta

Boston managed only a split of a four-game series at the Chicago White Sox, but what's more embarrassing is the Red Sox couldn't manage a run off James Shields in six innings on Sunday. Shields is fortunate to still be in the big leagues with a 6-15 record this season. Boston faces rookie Touki Toussaint, who is the first Haitian-American in the Majors, and he earned a 9-1 win over Miami while allowing just the run on two hits in six innings in his only start on Aug. 13. Atlanta won its second in a row over Pittsburgh after breaking through with a four-run eighth inning, and Ronald Acuna, Jr. tied a franchise record with his seventh leadoff homer. Nathan Eovaldi had two good outings after being traded to the Red Sox, but then followed with five bad ones, and the Sox have lost his last four starts. Boston has lost six of its last eight against teams with winning records and Atlanta has won 14 of 20 versus teams with .600 or better winning percentages. Take the Braves.
