Baltimore at Washington

The Washington Nationals have put a lot of distance between themselves and their nearest division rival. Although it is still early June, the Nats are odds-on favorites to win the East going away, and perhaps make it all the way to the World Series. They are 4-2 behind Joe Ross, but have averaged a ridiculous 11.5 runs per game when he takes the mound, and the total for this one is an overreaction to those numbers. Alec Asher will once again make a start for Baltimore, and he has already had two outings vs. good offensive teams, and held Boston to two runs and Toronto to two runs, so he has shown the stuff to hold down a good-hitting team. The Nationals have had offensive issues going against control pitchers, those allowing fewer than 1.75 walks per start, where they are 49-32 to the UNDER over the last two seasons.
