Baltimore at Tampa Bay

This is a huge series for both of these clubs as the games are getting short, and a lot is still be decided with a bunch of teams at arm's length from each other in the competitive AL. Tampa Bay has just a 1/2 game lead over Cleveland, and two over Baltimore as this series gets started. The problem for the Rays is that they simply should not be in this position, as a 9-16 stretch over their last 25 games, where the bats have gone to sleep, has them reeling. David Price has lost his last three decisions, and last year's Cy Young winner is now a pedestrian 8-8. One reason is the fact that the Rays are an unthinkable 11-81 with runners in scoring position in their last 12 losses. The Orioles have dug deep after scoring 2 or less in their previous game at 36-16 in their last 52. It's hard to trust Tampa Bay right now, so play on Baltimore.
