Tommy Hunter looked like he was on his way to big things when he was 22-10 for the Texas Rangers in 2009, and 2010. He has fallen rapidly from that early success, and has won just eight times in the last two years. Hunter is struggling even more so this season with an ERA of 5.68 on the season. He will have to do better than that here vs. a Tampa Bay team that is pitching better than anyone right now. The Rays’ staff has recorded four shutouts over their last 13 games, and overall has allowed a stingy 23 runs or less than 2 per contest. The Orioles’ road woes show them at 71-147 in their last 218 on the road vs. a winning team. On the other hand, the Rays are now 99-46 at home as a favorite of -151 to -200. Play this one on Tampa Bay.
