Baltimore at Seattle

The Baltimore Orioles have gotten a lot more mileage out of Jason Hamel than did the Rays and the Rockies. Hamel has never completed a big league season with an ERA of under 4.33 and was touched up for eight runs in his last start. I don't expect things to go that bad here vs. light hitting Seattle, but they certainly can score enough to get the win here. Baltimore has played themselves out of the lead in the AL East with a 3-9 run over their last 12 games. The offense has gone ice-cold having scored three runs or less in ten of the 12 games. The Mariners are getting great pitching but not enough hitting. In their last nine games, both teams have combined for just 31 runs, with all nine playing to the UNDER. The seven games on their current homestand have been even less productive with both teams combining for 23 total runs, or a ridiculous 3.3 a contest. The O's have had problems finding the win column after scoring two runs or less in their last 16, where they are just 4-12. For what it is worth, they sure have had the Monday blues at 14-38 in their last 52 Monday tilts. The O's are UNDER in eight straight on the road, while the M's are UNDER in nine straight overall. Baltimore is just 1-5 in their last six here and none of the last five have made it over the total. Play on Seattle and UNDER.
