The Baltimore Orioles took the opener here last night 4-1 to get their eight-game West Coast road trip off to a good start. Everth Cabrera is now serving a 50-game suspension, and his lack of presence at the top of the Padres lineup is going to be missed, as they have trouble producing runs with him in the lineup. Baltimore has been most effective when facing a left-handed starter in interleague play where they are 6-1 in their last seven against them. The Padres have struggled in interleague home games vs. a winning team, where they are now 5-16 in their last 21 after last night's loss. The Orioles look for the sweep, and Stults has not offered much resistance as San Diego is 0-5 in his last five starts vs. a team with a winning record. Go with Baltimore.
