Baltimore at Philadelphia

Baltimore keeps losing while the Phillies have won four of five and climbed within two games of first-place Atlanta in the NL East. The Orioles have lost eight of their past nine games and they are 14-38 their past 52 as underdogs, 16-35 their past 51 versus left-handed starters. Philadelphia will start Ranger Suarez, who has allowed only five runs his last five outings, including a 6-5 win over the Cubs on Wednesday when he gave up two runs on six hits in six innings. Overall this season, Suarez has a 1.50 ERA and .187 opponent batting average in 84 innings pitched. Meanwhile, Baltimore has lost John Means' last eight starts, although some of that is due to such little run support. The Orioles are 24-51 on the road and Philadelphia is 42-32 at home.
