The lack of consistent offense, along with the percieved offensive potential for this club, has led to a team that has played the fewest games over the total in the entire AL, and the third fewest in all of MLB. Jesse Chavez is a reminder that the Oakland A's offense has sputtered as well, as Chavez is just 5-10 on the season, despite pitching to a solid 3.53 ERA.
