Baltimore has a better road record then the Mets have at home. The Orioles are hot, having won seven of their last eight games and are 4-1 in their last five as an underdog. That included yesterday's 2-0 win at Atlanta. The bullpen is deep and the Orioles have won two in a row without allowing a run, wins of 2-0 and 5-0. They are now 9-3 in interleague play and have won all four series against National League teams this season. The Orioles kept pace with the New York Yankees and remain 1 1/2 games out of first in the AL East. The Orioles face righty R.A. Dickey, who has been untouchable of late, but they are 17-4 in their last 21 games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15. Dickey hasn't been untouchable against Baltimore with a 1-2 record and a 4.07 ERA against them. The Orioles are 11-5 in their last 16 road games vs. a right-handed starter and 36-17 in their last 53 against a team with a winning record. And the Mets are slumping, on a 4-9 run, and 0-4 in their last four home games vs. a right-handed starter, so grab the big (and very live) dog. Play the Orioles.
