Baseball has a lot to do with streaks and the Mets are on one. They have won eight straight now with five of those W's coming as an underdog! That's hot. Tonight Alay Soler goes for New York vs. Erik Bedard. Bedard has a 5.69 ERA that's sky-high on the road: 8.26 on way to a 1-5 record. Soler has only pitched twice at home and didn't perform well but overall he's 2-1 with a 3.33 ERA. Baltimore is just 9-30 on the season as an underdog including 5-19 away from home in that role. Bedard is 1-125 as a dog of +125 to +175 the last two seasons and winless in 10 tries on the road as an underdog. Road underdogs of +150 or more off 2 straight games with no home runs, with a hot bullpen whose WHIP is under 1.000 the last 5 games are 10-50 (17%) over the last 5 seasons. I've got my own system that fades poor power teams that comes into play in this one too. The Mets are 8-3 vs. lefties scoring 5.5 runs per game. During their hot streak, they are scoring 8.6 per game batting .322! Oh yeah, their bullpen is better too. Mets here.
