Going into May, the New York Mets were 17-9, but a lot of injuries derailed the team. As a result, May was a brutal 10-18, and June has followed in kind as they have yet to win this month at 0-4. The problem for Baltimore is that they are arguably the worst team in the AL, and come into this game at 17-41 on the season. The O's are just 1-7 in their last eight. The Mets' starting pitching always gives them a chance as over their last 17 games, starter ERA is 2.54. The door is open for an under-achieving offense vs. a Baltimore team that simply does not pitch very well, as opponents are averaging 5.25 runs a game against them.
