That was until the sleeping giant Los Angeles Angels woke up and have been the best team in baseball over the last 38 games where they are a scorching 28-10, and have moved within 1.5 games of the A's. Bud Norris comes off the DL to make his first start in three weeks, and may be rusty, and will likely be on a pitch count.  Matt Shoemaker has been a pleasant surprise since being inserted into the rotation for the Halos, as he owns a 4-1 record in five starts and four relief appearances at home, backed by a sturdy 2.84 ERA on the season. The Angels are on a torrid pace as a home favorite where they have surged to a 22-5 record in their last 27 in this role.
