Baltimore at Kansas City

It's beginning to look like something special is happening in Kansas City. It has been 29 years since the Royals took the field in the World Series, but they have moved to one game from ending the drought. Kansas City has been on a serious roll, and these young players are playing fearless and confident right now. The Royals have won all seven of their playoffs games, and are on a late season run of 13-2 over their last 15 games. Baltimore took off from a lackluster .500 season at the beginning of July, but seemed to run out of gas late in the season, and the Birds have gone just 7-9 in their last 16 games. Miguel Gonzalez' last appearance vs. the Royals back in April resulted in a loss as he allowed 4 runs over six innings. Teams in the playoffs that fall down three games to none are 1-8 in game four over the last decade, and 0-4 on the road. Kansas City puts this one on ice.
