The Orioles are desperate for pitching, and tonight they will go with Rich Hill. Hill is fresh off the DL with elbow problems, and will likely be on a strict pitch count. That will open the door to one of the least productive bullpens in baseball, as the O's pen gets exposed for several innings here. They have blown five saves in 11 opportunities and own a 5.33 ERA, with opposing hitters hovering around the .300 mark against them. Kyle Davies has been ordinary for the Royals, but the difference in this one will come in innings 5-9, where the Royals’ pen has a 3.15 ERA on the season. I look for Kansas City to stay close here for five innings at least, and win this one over the later innings where their pen is just too much for the O's.
