Baltimore at Kansas City

This is a matchup of a pair of bad, young teams - one is going good, the other is decisively bad. The Royals have gotten hot, winning eight of their last 12 games. What is more impressive is that they have done it all against winning teams. The Orioles have really fallen on hard times, especially on the road where they stand a dismal 2-12 in their last 14. The pitching has done a complete meltdown on the road, allowing a disgraceful 112 runs in the 14 games, or 8 runs per. That should create ample opportunities for the Royals, who are plating over 6 runs per game over their last six to do a great deal of damage at home. The Birds have been easy prey vs. lefthanders on the road at 14-37 in their last 51, while the Royals cashing all but one of their last nine at home with Chen on the hill. Kansas City gets this one.
