Baltimore at Detroit

Everyone keeps underestimating Baltimore, and they keep on winning. First the AL East title and now 2-0 up on the Tigers. Baltimore has great balance on offense, and the Orioles are 6-0 in their last six games as an underdog of +151 to +200. Bud Norris (15-8, 3.65 ERA) has a winning record both home and away, and the Orioles are 9-1 his last 10 starts. The Orioles are 35-16 in their last 51 vs. a team with a winning record. Detroit has bullpen problems, like last year, and have allowed a total of 12 runs in the eighth inning in this series, with setup men Joba Chamberlain and Joakim Soria combining to surrender nine while recording only four outs. The Orioles are 10-4 on the road against a left-handed starter and face southpaw David Price, who has flamed out in October. Price is 1-4 with a 5.06 ERA in his postseason career and was lit up for seven runs in as many innings in the ALDS as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays last season. The Tigers are 3-9 in their last 12 playoff games as a favorite, plus 4-9 as a favorite of -151 to -200. Play Baltimore.
