Baltimore at Detroit

Neither the Tigers or the Baltimore Orioles have to be satisfied with their first half performance, as both clubs were expected to be better. What has been better for the Tigers, however, has been the pitching of Anibel Sanchez. Sanchez has pitched the Tigers to six consecutive wins, and has been 5-0 over the period, allowing a total of 14 earned runs, and has also pitched to an 18 inning streak within the six games of allowing zero runs. Ubaldo Jimenez has been serviceable for the O's this season, but he has a long history of struggling at Comerica Park. Jimenez owns a career 2-7 record in Detroit, backed by a horrific 6.80 ERA in his nine starts here. His career numbers vs. Detroit aren't very appealing either, at 5-9 with a 4.93 ERA against them.
