Baltimore at Detroit

Detroit got a big lift yesterday from Miguel Cabrera who recorded his 2,000th career hit on a 3-run homer. They will need some offense today as Ricky Porcello, who had a great rookie season, has not been up to that standard since. Porcello pitched to a 4.32 ERA last season, and Baltimore bombed him for 9 runs in 12 innings of work. The Orioles picked up Bud Norris to bolster the rotation late last season, and in his last nine starts, the O's have gone 7-2. The AL East has been quite problematic for Ricky Porcello and the Tigers as they are 0-7 in his last seven starts against them, and his work against the O's is not far behind with a career 1-5 mark.
