Baltimore has been the early AL surprise as they stand atop the tough AL East with a 7-4 mark to open the season. While that will likely not be the case as the season progresses, this team has made great strides and is playing well. Tommy Hunter should give the rotation a lift and he is pitching to a 2.77 ERA to start the season. The White Sox have dropped three straight where they have allowed 20 runs in the process. Jake Peavy through injuries and age is not what he once was as his last eight home starts have resulted in six White Sox losses.
