The Boston Red Sox had the lead in the AL East heading into September but the swoon has been on and Tampa Bay, by virtue of five of six wins vs. Boston, have sliced the deficit to just two games in the wildcard chase. The Red Sox have not played well in their last 19 games, but one thing will be extremely different here. Their last 19 were all against winning teams, while the Birds sport just a 62-89 mark on the season. Jeremy Guthrie is in danger of losing 20 games this season and his track record vs. the AL East shows 20-44 in his last 64 and the O's are a putrid 6-20 when he starts on the road vs. a winning team. The Orioles are 11-41 in their last 52 at Fenway, including 0-7 behind Guthrie. Boston gets the call in GAME 1.
