We often see a lot of reserves get some action in the second game of a doubleheader, so starting pitching takes on more responsibility towards the outcome. The Red Sox have a big edge behind John Lackey who has allowed 3 runs or less in 10 of his last 13 starts on the season. Ubaldo Jimenez won 34 games in 2009 and 2010 combined, but he has since been mostly a bust, logging a 35-47 record. That downward spiral continues in 2014 where he is just 3-8 on the season, and his last five starts as a road dog of +110 to +150 have been met by an 0-5 record. Lackey has had a lot of success vs. Baltimore where Boston is 7-2 in his last nine starts against them. Back Boston in Game two of today's double-dip.
