Atlanta has bounced back from three straight losses to win its last two, including 8-7 over the Phillies on Sunday when Ronald Acuna Jr. singled home the go-ahead run in the 11th and scored on Michael Harris II's single and the Braves stayed 1 1/2 games within first place in the NL East. Washington got a win against Miami, but the Nationals will likely finish with the worst record in the major leagues and they will go with Cory Abbott tonight and Washington has lost his last three starts and he has allowed 21 runs in 39 innings this season. Bryce Elder will make his eighth start for the Braves and he gave up one run on four hits in 5 2/3 innings his last outing against the Nationals on Wednesday. Atlanta has won eight of the past 10 meetings and it is 24-8 in the first game of a series and 22-5 versus teams with .400 or worse winning percentages. The Nationals have lost 70 of their past 100 home games. Take the Braves.
