Atlanta at Washington

Atlanta lost a tough 10-inning battle 6-5 to Philadelphia on Wednesday and the Braves still are fighting to clinch the overall best record in the major leagues. The Braves are 45-18 the past 63 meetings with Washington and they have won eight of nine Thursday games. Max Fried is 7-1 with a 2.64 ERA and 1.17 WHIP and Atlanta has won his past four starts and he has allowed only six runs in 24 innings in that span. What's more impressive is that Fried is 5-0 with a 1.74 ERA on the road this season. Atlanta has won four of the six meetings in 2023 and the Nationals have lost six of their past nine games and they are just 33-44 at home and destined to finish last in the NL East. Jake Irvin is 3-6 with a 4.34 ERA and gave up four runs in 4 2/3 innings his last outing against Milwaukee. Take the Braves as a Max Play.
