Atlanta at Washington

The Washington Nationals are a game under .500, and with 65 games left to play, they have to start mentally thinking of going on a big run. No better team to do it against than the upstart Atlanta Braves who lead the NL East with a 53-42 mark. They have a good shot tonight against Sean Newcomb, who has not won since June 16th, and has seen a nifty 2.70 ERA rise to 3.51 in the process. Newcomb has struggled in two starts this season vs. Washington, pitching to an ERA of 5.56 after losing his only start in 2017 against the Nats, allowing four runs in just four innings.
