Here we have an interesting line, as the Atlanta Braves are trailing the Washington Nationals by seven games in the NL East, but are posted as a road favorite. It begs one to take the Nats here, but I'm not falling for it. The Braves have the second-best road record in all of baseball, and on the mound will be Kris Medlen. Medlen was powerful in the pen for the Braves, but he has been a stronger starter, as he has not allowed more than a single run in his four starts, and pitches to a 2.02 ERA on the season. The Braves have won all of his four starts on the season. The Braves have not only been good on the road, they are better as a road favorite where they are 18-6 in their last 24 games. Washington is now just 1-5 in Detwiler's last six starts after they allowed 2 runs or less in their last contest. Play on Atlanta.
