Atlanta at Washington

The Washington Nationals lost 107 games last year. They lost their opener at home to the Braves and will try to do better in game 2. They have a lot of hope that Josiah Gray becomes a top-of-rotation starter, and he showed signs of that by leading the Nationals to 3 wins in his last 4 starts to close 2022. Spencer Strider led the Braves to a 13-8 record last season. He did have struggles on the road where the Braves were 6-5 in his 11 road starts. The last time he faced the Nationals a year ago on the road the Braves were beaten 7-3. I think the odds here are considerably inflated, and I will take Washington.
