The Texas Rangers have had a nightmare of a season, as a rash of injuries has plagued them all season. The Rangers must play 1 game over .500 the rest of the way to avoid losing 100 games on the season. Atlanta has faded in the NL East, trailing Washington by 8.5 games, so their only hope is to try and secure the second Wild Card spot, where they currently trail by three games, and their isn't much sand left in the hour glass to get it done. Atlanta is playing poor baseball down the stretch as they have started September at 3-7 and have gone cold on offense, averaging just 2.6 runs per contest in the 10-game stretch. Julio Teheran has lost his last two starts as the innings mount, now over 200 for a career high. The Braves are now 5-13 in their last 18 vs. a right-hander, and own a 2-8 record in their last 10 interleague tilts vs. a losing team. The Rangers' poor overall record has a shinning spot as they are 14-6 in their last 20 at home vs. a right hander. Play on Texas.
