The Texas Rangers have had a nightmare of a season, as a rash of injuries has plagued them all season. Atlanta has faded in the NL East, trailing Washington by 8.5 games, so their only hope is to try and secure the second Wild Card spot, where they currently trail by three games, and their isn't much sand left in the hour glass to get it done. Atlanta is playing poor baseball down the stretch as they have started September at 3-7 and have gone cold on offense, averaging just 2.6 runs per contest in the 10-game stretch. Julio Teheran has lost his last two starts as the innings mount, now over 200 for a career high. The Braves are now 5-13 in their last 18 vs. a right-hander, and own a 2-8 record in their last 10 interleague tilts vs. a losing team.
