The Atlanta Braves have fallen out of the race in the NL East, as Washington has opened up an 8.5 game lead. That leaves only one door open for Atlanta and that is through the Wild Card where they trail two teams, and are two games behind. The Braves have their offense to blame as they have been pressing down the stretch, and it has gotten really bad. Their last 11 games have seen them get shutout four times, and score just a single run in two other games. Texas has had an awful year with injuries taking most of the blame. The Rangers have won just once in their last 11 games. The struggling Atlanta offense could be in serious trouble as Derek Holland, one of the injured Rangers, has come back strong. He has made two outings, allowing 1 run in 14 innings for an ERA of 0.64. The Braves have struggled against mediocre pitching, and now have to face one that has found a groove with a fresh arm. Take Texas.
