Atlanta has to be feeling good off their sweep in New York last night over the Mets. The Cardinals simply have not been able to overcome the loss of Adam wainwright for the year, and the aging of Chris Carpenter. That has left their pitching void of stoppers, and it will cost them a playoffs spot. Edwin Jackson was picked up to bolster the rotation, but in his eight starts in a St. Louis uniform he is just 4-4. The Braves have Randall Delgado on the hill who has been pedestrian thus far, but the big advantage here is the Braves pen which ranks No. 32 in all of baseball. If Delgado can matchup well with Jackson, then the Braves have the advantage to deliver the win late. Take Atlanta in this one.
