Atlanta at St. Louis

Atlanta got a huge win on Friday to even the series as it got seven shutout innings from Mike Foltynewicz and a two-run homer from pinch hitter Adam Duvall. Now the Braves go to St. Louis. They are 47-34 on the road this season and have Mike Soroka on the mound as he finished the regular season with a 13-4 record and 2.68 ERA. Most importantly, Soroka did his best work on the road with a 7-1 record and 1.55 ERA and .205 opponent batting average. The right-hander had two starts against the Cardinals and allowed only one earned run in 13 innings. Adam Wainwright gave up five runs on five hits in four innings against the Braves this year. And in his last appearance on Sept. 28, he was knocked around for six hits on 12 hits in 4 1/3 innings against the Cubs. Also, he has given up 11 runs his last two starts in 9 1/3 innings pitched.
