Max Fried retired the last 18 batters for Atlanta, which holds on to a 1 1/2 game lead over the Phillies in the NL East. The Braves are 43-35 on the road and Huascar Ynoa has kept his team in the game for five or six innings and all but one of the Padre hitters will see him for the first time. Vince Velasquez has allowed 15 runs his last three starts with Philadelphia and San Diego. Atlanta has won 20 of 28 road games and the Braves are 44-18 as road favorites.
