Atlanta at San Diego

It didn't take long for Atlanta to be in desperation mode as the Braves are still searching for their first win after losing the first three games of this series. However, the Braves have found a pitcher they should be able to hit in Nick Pivetta, who went 6-12 with a 4.14 ERA last year with Boston. Marcell Ozuna has hit six homers in 29 at-bats against Pivetta. Atlanta is planning on big things from today's starter, AJ Smith-Shawver, who has made seven MLB appearances (six starts) in the regular season and two in the postseason. He is replacing injured Spencer Strider in the rotation for now. Atlanta has too much talent to start the season 0-4 and it is getting good line value as the road underdog in this macthup.
