At just 30-34 on the season, the San Diego Padres just look like another mediocre team. The fact is that they came out of the gate in slow motion, winning just five of their first 20 games, but have been 25-19 since, and own a winning record on the season at home. The Braves started a scorching hot 12-1, but have been rather ordinary since. Atlanta is a mediocre 18-18 on the road, and dropped the opener here last night. The Padres have a hot offense right now, one that has averaged 6.5 runs per game over their last six. Hudson has not helped their cause on the road, as the Braves are 0-6 in Hudson's last six road starts. The Padres are now 16-7 in their last 23 at home, and 5-0 in Cashner's last five starts vs. a winning team. We have an upset brewing, so play the home dog and back San Diego.
