The Braves are no strangers to winning on the road as they are 37-26 on the season. They will get a shot at Casey Kelly tonight, making his major league debut. Kelly missed four months of the season with an elbow injury and has pitched less than 38 innings this year. This is a forced call up with the injury to Jason Marquis, and the Braves are certainly equipped to take advantage. Paul Maholm has pitched to a 2.40 ERA since being acquired by Atlanta, and appears to be reborn, finally pitching for a winning team. The Braves have been super against losing teams where they are 21-6 in their last 27. The Padres have been hapless vs. lefthanders now 17-37 in their last 54 facing one. Atlanta in this one.
