Atlanta at Pittsburgh

The Pirates freefall continues. They have now lost nine of eleven and seven straight. Meanwhile, the Braves have won five in a row. I look for more of the same tonight. Alex Wood has posted a 2.84 ERA in his starts this season including a 1.86 ERA over his last three. He's the best pitcher on the mound today. And, he's a southpaw. That's not good news for the Pirates who have averaged just 3.8 runs per game this seas vs. LHP. The Braves are 61-46 the past two seasons vs. winning teams. They are also 62-54 the past three seasons as a dog. And, dating back to last season, Atlanta is 41-18 after having won three straight games. Follow the momentum here and back the Braves.
