Atlanta at Pittsburgh

The Atlanta Braves are 13-3 to start the season, and interesting is the fact that all three losses have come on shutouts, including last night here in Pittsburgh. The Pirates have been coming to life after a four-game losing streak, as they have won 7 of 10 since, and 6 of 8 at home. Paul Maholm has been perfect for the Braves through 21 innings. That is not likely to continue as Maholm has never been more than a pedestrian pitcher. The Pirates are 15-7 at home vs. a team with a road winning percentage greater than .600, and seem to play their best here vs. the best, and they are 9-4 behind McDonald in his last 13 starts vs. a team with a winning record. Go with Pittsburgh.
