Will Randy Johnson toss another perfect game against the Braves, in pin stripes this time? We'll just have to wait and see. The Big Unit has not been lights out by any means this year as his ERA sits a 5.21. Yet, over his last 2 starts he has pitched with quality giving up just 4 earned runs in 14 innings. In contrast, Tim Hudson has given up 9 in his last 14 innings. The Braves are still struggling this year as they are 5-21 of late which is very unlike what we have become accustomed too in year's past. The Braves are 4-17 in their last 21 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30 and a 0-7 of late as underdogs of +150 to +200. The Yankees on the other hand, have managed to win their last 4 out of 5 and have a 7-3 record when Johnson pitches against a team with a losing record at home. Let's ride hisotry as it is on our side as the Yankees lead the series 8-3. Road underdogs allowing 4.8 or more runs per game after scoring and allowing 4 runs or less last 3 games are a horribe 14-51 (21%) over the past ten years. Bombers in this one.
