Kris Medlen has certainly deserved a better fate as he takes the mound at just 1-5, but his ERA stands at 3.02 on the season. It is also hard to ignore just what he has meant to the Braves' rotation, as he has a history of dominating bad teams. The Braves are an amazing 18-3 in his last 21 starts vs. a losing team, and when he pitches on an extra day of rest, the Braves are 12-1 in his last 13. The Mets are simply overmatched night in and night out at 17-27. Jeremy Hefner has not yet proven to be ready for the big leagues as he has suffered to an 0-5 mark on the season, and his ERA is 9.00. The Mets stand at just 7-14 in his 21 career starts, and the advantage is huge in this one for the visitor. Go with Atlanta on the runline.
