The Atlanta Braves' overall record of 56-44 looks pretty good. But when you take into account this team exploded out of the gate at 13-1, the numbers certainly have not been impressive. Since the hot start, they are a pedestrian .500 team over their last 86 games. It has gotten worse lately as the Braves have slumped their way to a 7-10 mark over their last 17. You have to give a pass to Jeremy Hafner, who has allowed 8 runs in two innings in his last start. Hafner had not allowed more than 3 earned runs in any of his previous 10 starts, and is more than capable of keeping the Mets in this one. Tim Hudson has been as pedestrian as the Braves of late, owning a 7-7 record with an ERA of 4.08 on the season. The Braves are an ugly 2-8 in his last 10 road starts. Go with the Mets.
