The Mets are on a mission this year and that is not to lose the division title to Atlanta as the last 14 years have turned out in the favor of the Braves. Currently, the Mets couldn't have things going much better for them as they sit atop of the division at 9-2 with their ace going today against a struggling Jorge Sosa who currently has over a 11 ERA. Sosa has given up 8 runs in just 6 innings this year whereas Pedro has continued to pitch well as he gave up just one earned run in 7 innings for a win on the road aganist Washington. The Mets are also 7-1 as a favorite and 5-1 at home as they face the Braves who are 0-3 in Sosa's last 3 starts and just 3-10 in their last set of road games. Watching the NL East for quite some time, the Braves will make their run eventually, however, it is usually in the long months of June and July as compared to April as it seems this month and this game will belong to the Mets and their hot streak.
