Yesterday the Braves/Dodgers game went over. Today, we are going to ride the over train again. After all, when Smoltz and Penny faced each other the total went over the set mark of 7 or 7.5 to a tune of 9 runs. Now, the total is set similarly at 7.5 given Horatio Ramirez and Perez are on the mound respectively - why shouldn't it go over a similar total with 2 even weaker pitchers on the mound today? Ramirez has struggled throughout Spring training as he constantly gets himself into jams with at least one or two runners making it aboard each and every inning. However, some of the most compelling facts for this over is that the last 5 meetings have gone over and when Ramirez is involved the team's over is 9-1 and on top of that the Braves have been over their last 11/12 games. Given this, the Braves look to bounce back form a loss last night so they should pick up their bats agaisnt Perez who is a mediocre pitcher that went 7-8 with a 4.56 era last year. Thus, Braves bats and the Dodgers bats will be exicted to see both pitchers I beleive as the runs could come in droves.
